Cookie Policy
Last updated on 7 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Swapify Inc. ("Swapify", "we", "our" or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Swapify web applications at portal.swapify.link and web.swapify.link ("Swapify Web"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Swapify Web also uses similar technologies — your browser's local and session storage and IndexedDB — to remember information on your device. In this Policy we call all of them "cookies".
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for Swapify Web to work and are always active. They are not used for analytics or advertising:
Your cookie choice — remembers whether you accepted or declined optional cookies, so we do not ask again on every visit, and, for the current browser session, the country of your connection (determined by Cloudflare), so that we apply the right default described in Section 4.
Sign-in — keeps you signed in and links your purchases and generations to your account (Google Firebase Authentication).
App state — remembers your progress in the quiz, your preferences, the photos you selected for a generation and active offers, so that the app keeps working when you reload the page.
Payments and security — when you open checkout, Stripe sets cookies used to process the payment and to prevent fraud; our hosting provider Cloudflare may set cookies to protect the website against bots and attacks.
3. Analytics cookies
They help us understand how Swapify Web is used and improve it. Amplitude and Google Analytics follow the regional rule described in Section 4:
Amplitude — product analytics: which pages and features are used and how people move through the app.
Google Analytics — website traffic statistics.
4. Advertising cookies
Advertising cookies let us measure which of our ads bring people to Swapify Web and lead to sign-ups and purchases:
Google Ads — Google's advertising and conversion measurement.
Meta Pixel — Meta's (Facebook and Instagram) advertising measurement. When it is allowed, we also send checkout and purchase events from our servers to Meta through the Meta Conversions API, together with the identifiers set by the Meta Pixel, so that each event is counted once even if your browser blocks the pixel.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies (Amplitude, Google Analytics) and advertising cookies are used only after you click "Accept". Elsewhere they are on by default, and you can switch them off at any time by clicking "Decline" in the cookie banner or "Cookie settings" in the footer of the site. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as if you clicked "Decline" until you click "Accept". For Google Analytics and Google Ads your region is determined by Google. For Amplitude and the Meta Pixel, if we cannot determine your country, we apply the rule for the European Economic Area.
Where these cookies are not allowed — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland before you make a choice, and anywhere after you decline — Amplitude and the Meta Pixel are not loaded, we do not send events to the Meta Conversions API, and Google's tag runs in Consent Mode: it does not set analytics or advertising cookies and may only send cookieless signals that Google uses to estimate ad performance in aggregate. We also keep the marketing parameters of the link you arrived by (such as UTM tags and click identifiers) in your browser's local storage, and share them with our analytics and advertising providers only when the corresponding cookies are allowed.
5. Your choices
a. When you first visit Swapify Web, the cookie banner lets you accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies. Declining does not affect how Swapify Web works.
b. To change your choice later, click "Cookie settings" in the footer of the site. You can also delete the cookies and site data for portal.swapify.link in your browser settings — the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
c. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of Swapify Web, such as sign-in and checkout, may stop working.
6. Third-party providers
The providers mentioned above process information under their own privacy policies: Google, Meta, Amplitude, Stripe and Cloudflare.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when we change the technologies we use. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
