Will my real friends appear in the hug?

No. The effect is built to keep the face of the person in your photo. The other people in the huddle are generated by AI, so they won't look like your actual friends. If you upload a group photo, don't count on every face carrying over.

Where does the hug take place?

The prompt asks for warm, bright daylight and a lively, candid atmosphere without naming a place, and the preview landed on a sunny lawn under trees. Add a location to the prompt, such as a beach or a backyard, if you want a specific setting.

Does the camera stay still?

No. It's handheld, circling the group and pushing in as everyone comes together, which gives the clip the loose, energetic feel of a friend filming on a phone rather than a locked-off shot.

About the Squad Group Hug · Pro effect

The clip opens on a loose ring of people facing each other, arms just starting to lift, smiles already showing. Then everyone rushes together. Arms land over shoulders, heads lean in, somebody laughs a little too loud, and the whole huddle rocks side to side. The light is warm and sunny, and the camera feels handheld, circling and pushing in like a friend filming on a phone. Expressions stay natural and candid rather than posed, which is what makes it feel heartwarming. In the preview, the group gathers on a sunny lawn under tall trees.

It suits moments about belonging: missing your college roommates, saying goodbye to a team, or sending a hug video when you can't be there in person. Most effects in this category focus on one person and a camera move; this one is about people reacting to each other. One thing to know before you start: the effect is built to keep the face of the person in your photo, and everyone else in the group hug is generated by AI, so they won't be your actual friends.
